Designer Notes
The White Cat, although nearly identical to the standard Cheetah in its structure and general appearance, is used for very different purposes. The Northern military had been using the Wild Ferret as their standard EW (electronics warfare) Gear, but this highly specialized machine, although quite effective in its particular field, lacked the adaptability of a fully humanoid shape and showed evidence of its century of service. Its limitation in heavy combat situations soon became obvious as it began to be used in the field. Its high cost did not win it any favors either. After the war of the Alliance, Guard High Command decided that a new battlefield electronic warfare Gear was necessary and tenders were issued for an all-new model. These tenders ultimately led to the development of the Weasel by Keimuri Gear. The development of the Weasel was slow, however, and Shaian Mechanics proposed using its high-technology Cheetah frame to create a "stop gap" electronic warfare Gear. Thus, the White Cat was born.
